Mother educated her two children, Ninachka became a medical doctor, called up in second world war, married, had a daughter, marriage failed and put her daughter through Oxford. Then married the retired and recently bereaved Supreme Allied Commander, Western Approaches with whom had a happy ten years. She is now a happily retired widow.
